Hotel owners do not always need to transfer every operating function. The right partnership depends on which decisions, teams and risks they want the operator to manage.

Full hotel management

Under a full management mandate, the operator can take accountability for day-to-day hotel operations, service quality, staffing, commercial performance, owner reporting and a mutually agreed financial plan. The owner generally retains ownership, while the agreement defines delegated authority, budgets and approvals.

Before signing, clarify the operator's responsibilities for local licensing, employment, suppliers, capital expenditure, branding and dispute resolution. Contracts vary considerably between properties and jurisdictions.

Standalone revenue management

A revenue-management mandate is narrower. The owner's existing team continues to run the hotel, while a specialist handles or advises on price strategy, restrictions, channel mix and commercial reporting.

Define responsibility for executing rate changes and for data failures between PMS, channel manager and online travel agencies. A managed revenue service is most effective when the property assigns a contact for operational exceptions.

Operations management without a full handover

Some hotels need better housekeeping coordination, maintenance escalation, room readiness and reporting, rather than replacement of their whole management team. An operations partnership can concentrate on these defined functions.

RD Hotels can assess these models for hotel owners internationally. The proposed scope must fit local staffing and regulatory arrangements, available systems and the property's goals.
